Patina
Mai loves her cooking shows on Tivo. On numerous occasions she mentioned to me, "I wanna go to a chef's table". For those who don't know, a chef's table is a private table away from the main dining area where the head chef can host his own party. I knew this would be a lock.
After visiting about 5 restaurants, I chose Patina. The place was perfect. This is the picture of the chef's table where it all went down. The room has a wall of glass so you can watch all the chefs in action. Mai was shocked on date night when we arrived. The chefs came out and greeted us personally. Earlier in the day, Dub had brought the ring over so the dessert chef could make a chocolate box for it. After I ate enough seafood to last me a lifetime, the chocolate came out and I was on one knee. Up to that point we had had 6 glasses of wine, so Mai said "yes" and the chefs clapped on the other side of the glass. It was a lovely night.
